Fishing is a year round sport on the St. Lawrence river.  Folks come from all over the world to fish the St. Lawrence.  There are many local fishing derbies including the popular Carp Shoot Tournament in nearby Waddington that draws a number of international sportsman.  Imagine being able to catch that huge muskie that sits over the fireplace mantle, just beyond the limits of your front yard.  It happens all the time.  Black Lake is also a great fishing location less than ten minutes away.  If you like to hunt big game, its just one more reason to call this place home.  State land is only 3 miles away from your condo where you could take one of the biggest local whitetail bucks.  Bear hunting is only a short hour away in the foothills of the Adirondack Mountains.  Small game hunting is never boring with the population of Canadian Geese and wild turkeys.  For more information on local wildlife, fish, and their respective seasons, visit www.dec.ny.gov
